  Hanna Literacy Program

DID YOU KNOW?

Close to 40% of Albertans have low levels of literacy.

The Hanna Literacy Program offers free family programs for families with children age 0-6 as well as free coaching and mentoring to adults in the Hanna and surrounding areas who would like to increase their literacy skills.

Adult Literacy:

We have several learning coaches who are able to meet with learners to help them reach their personal goals. For more information about our adult literacy program please see the links below.

Family Programs:

You want the best for your child.  We can help.  By participating in a Family Literacy Program:

  • Children build important literacy and numeracy skills through stories, music, reading and playing
  • Parents and caregivers learn tools and strategies to support their children's learning in everyday activities
  • Parents and caregivers are encouraged to engage in their children's learning
  • Children and parents get to spend time with other families

If you want to learn fun ideas for your family to encourage learning, contact the Hanna Family Literacy Program today!

We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of families in Hanna and surrounding communities. See links below for more information about our programs.

Resource Centre:

The Hanna Literacy Program has several easy reading books, books on tape, children's books, tutor aides, and parent resources that can be signed out free of charge.
