 Boat Safety (Lifesaving Society)       $90

 Where: Hanna Learning Centre Upstairs Boardroom

Time:  6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Boaters will learn boating regulations, safety practices and emergency response procedures. This Lifesaving Society Boat Safety training includes instruction manual, test and Pleasure Craft Operator’s card. Minimum

 

Canadian Non-Restricted Firearms Safety      $85
Where: Hanna Learning Centre Upstairs Boardroom 
When:  Three Evenings TBA
Time:  6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.          
Instructor: Kelly Lewis, Certified Instructor
 
Get the latest information on Canadian laws and regulations that govern hunters. Storage, handling and transportation of rifles and shotguns will also be covered. Participants over 18 years of age are preferred. Be sure to get your name on the list and when there are sufficient numbers registered, you will be contacted with a date.
 
 
 
 
Restricted Firearms Safety                        $60

When: Two Evenings TBA
Time:  6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Individuals who will acquire or be in possession of restricted firearms are required to pass the Canadian Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Training and to pass the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course exam. Topics covered in this course include firearms safety practices, responsibilities of owners and users and safe storage of these firearms. Be sure to get your name on the list and when there are sufficient numbers registered, you will be contacted with a date.

 

 

WORKPLACE SAFETY
 
Standard First Aid - Level (C CPR)                       $155

This St. John Ambulance comprehensive first aid course will provide participants with fundamental skills and knowledge that will assist you in any emergency situation. Course includes adult CPR, child and infant CPR, choking, artificial respiration, bleeding, fractures and training with the automated external defibrillator. Certificate awarded upon completion.
 
 
Emergency First Aid                      $110

During this St. John Ambulance course you will learn to recognize and provide intervention for life threatening emergencies until medical aid arrives. Topics include adult CPR, choking, shock and unconsciousness and severe bleeding.
 
 
 
H2S Alive                                              $160

Registration Deadline: One week prior to course date
 
This course is valuable to anyone working in an area where hydrogen sulphide may be a hazard. Students will learn to recognize and identify properties of H2S, protect themselves from its effects and perform basic rescue of others. Upon successful completion of this course, a certificate through Enform will be issued.
Please Note: No beards allowed. Clean shaven faces are required for adequate use of ventilator equipment.
 
 
Ground Disturbance - Supervisor/Level II    $225

Time:   8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Registration Deadline: October 14
 
Participants will examine procedures for locating underground services and potential hazards during ground disturbance. This course will focus on regulations, permits and safe practices for ground disturbance.
