Arrangements include information regarding disposition (burial or cremation options), ceremony options including traditional, memorial and customized services, information for legal paperwork, funding options, death benefits, executors, and estates. Attention will be given to options available for planning, including those with potential financial savings, often overlooked because of insufficient information. The information will empower people to make choices that will give them and their loved ones peace of mind. This presentation will include a question and answer period.

This seminar will equip the participant to effectively support family and friends in times of grief as well as to lend some understanding to one’s own grief. Information regarding the process of grief and its many challenges will be provided along with discussion of anticipatory grief and preparation for death. Grief has many forms and is not always related to physical death. Discussion will also touch on other life issues that create grief experiences. Questions will be welcome and literature will be available to participants.

Richard’s photography experience and career developed through his work at several Alberta newspapers and studio photography. He has over 12 years of experience as a Photojournalism Instructor at a western Canadian College and has numerous publishing credits including a feature book.
